Now let us imagine the discovery of an ancient testament.
Fragments of an ancient testament whose entirety cannot be reconstructed but, as potsherds of a millenary vase, convey the certainty of a world of ideas, beliefs and aesthetic. A litterature of events that shape a canon much of which has been lost, but which undoubtfully is a Book.
If not the first amongst Books.
They are a set of parables or psalms from which characters and deeds of enigmatic nature emerge, but which wisely describe an unknown series of handed down events have doubtlessly been the result of a profound and unknown culture and creed.
The unconscious’ awareness of a civilization which was still young.
Or the testament of a civilization conscious of its end. The dawn of a decline we won’t know more about.

Doubt lingers.
The doubt regarding how a civilization may disappear giving in to the belief of being the eternal engine of the world.
The only translation of the reality. The rule of the unique truth.

Ora immaginiamo la scoperta di un antico testamento.
Di brandelli di un antico testamento del quale non sia possibile ricostuire l’interezza ma che, come frammenti di un vaso millenario, trasmettono la certezza di un mondo di idee, credenze ed estetica compiuto.
Una letteratura di eventi che formano un canone del quale grande parte è andata perduta ma che sono, indubbiamente, un Libro.
Se non il primo dei Libri.
Sono un’insieme di parabole o salmi dai quali affiorano personaggi e fatti di natura enigmatica ma che descrivono con sapienza una sconosciuta serie di avvenimenti tramandati che sono stati senza dubbio il fiore di una cultura ed una fede profonda ed ignota.
La sapienza dell’inconscio di una civiltà ancora giovane. O il testamento di una civiltà cosciente della sua fine. Un’alba di un declino di cui non potremo sapere molto di più.

Rimane un dubbio.
Il dubbio di come una civiltà possa scomparire mentre cedeva alla convinzione di essere l’eterno motore del mondo.
La traduzione del reale. La regola dell’unico vero.
